Is Talkframe really free?

Yes. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, ads or accounts, and no limits on recording.

How do I write cues and pauses?

Put cues in square brackets, such as [SMILE] or [LOOK AT CAMERA]. They appear as small markers in the teleprompter and are never counted as words. [PAUSE 2s] holds scrolling for two seconds.

The text scrolls too fast or too slow

Use − and + below the script, or tap the speed to choose a preset. You can change speed while recording without stopping the video. Tap Make Default to keep that speed for new scripts.

Where does the text sit while I record?

Near Camera keeps the line you're reading just below the front camera, so your eyes stay close to the lens. Drag the handle under the text to fine-tune it.

Is the teleprompter text in my video?

No. Talkframe records directly from the camera and microphone; the on-screen text is never recorded.

I can't record: the camera or microphone is off

Open the Settings app, go to Talkframe, and turn on Camera and Microphone.

Recordings take up a lot of space

Settings in the app shows how much space recordings use. Delete takes you no longer need in Recordings. Videos saved to Photos are separate copies and aren't affected.

The app closed while I was recording

Open Talkframe again. Interrupted takes are recovered automatically and appear in Recordings as “Recovered Take”.
